Grant and RFP Writer
Under the guidance of the executive leadership team, the Grant and RFP Writer is responsible for proposal writing, developing proposals, and searching for and reviewing grant opportunities and RFPs. Grants may be developed for internal projects as well as external clients.This is a full-time hybrid position anticipated for 32 hours a week. Candidates will be considered in Washington only. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude, growth mindset, and interest in joining a growing small business and actively working to expand their role within the company. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in Federal grant writing, and to candidates with experience working with small businesses, local governments, and community organizations.A full-time employee at Collaborative Partners Initiative will receive Dental and Vision benefits, Life Insurance, PTO, a reimbursement for Medical insurance, and access to an Employee Assistance Program.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupports proposal development activities for grants, contracts, Request for Proposals, or other funding mechanism for the Company or Company's Clients.Identify and review funding opportunitiesBackground researchCreating letters of intent, case statements and/or other templatesCrafting proposal narrative sectionsDrafting budgets and budget justificationsDrafting ancillary documentsReview and editing of proposal sectionsProposal submissionFollow-up on submitted proposalsCreates schedules and tracking calendars.Attends client meetings as needed.May register the Company or Company's Clients in application portals or procurement systems.May schedule and participate in Client or Company meetings.Assists in the tracking of Company and Client projects.Updates project status in the Company's project tracking system.Organizes documents and files.Prepares reports and updates as requested by the Executive Leadership Team.Participates in team meetings.Works collaboratively with colleagues and freelancers.Participates in training and professional development opportunities.Assures that the Company is professional and in compliance with all policies, regulations, and laws related to proposal development.Other duties as assigned.Position Requirements• Associates degree preferred.• Three or more years of relevant experience in proposal writing, capacity building or other related fields.• Three or more years of experience working with community based organizations, non-profit organizations, or local government organizations.• Technical fluency with Microsoft Suite, Adobe DC, and Google.• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.• Ability to pass a background check.
