HoG is the only agency of its kind in the state and is dedicated to enhancing the health and wellness of the bleeding disorder community by providing excellence in comprehensive health care, education, advocacy, and the support of research to transform lives.Commitment to HoG Culture:Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you work productively, effectively, and efficiently with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.Hemophilia of Georgia operates an annual summer camp program for children and teens with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders. Camp is typically held during the summer (which may include the Fourth of July) and runs Saturday-Friday, and the date changes each year. Camp is an agency-wide, strategic priority; therefore, all exempt employees must participate. Assignments may include duties at camp, helping campers get to and from camp, and may involve overnight travel. The Director of Camp & Client Events will provide advance notice to exempt employees of where support is needed. PTO (paid time off) requests during the week of camp are generally not approved; however, PTO requests for extenuating circumstances will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Chief Community Engagement Officer.The HR Generalist assists with running the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department to include employee benefit programs, leave tracking, training & education, and onboarding. The HR Generalist monitors benefit administration and provides customer service for internal and external customers. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree preferredHR Certification: SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR preferred3-5 years of work experience in human resources, benefits, or related fieldExperience with benefits required, experience with self-funded benefit plans a plusFamiliar with ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and other benefit laws and regulations.Prior experience working with HRISExcellent organizational skillsCritical thinker, problem solverStrong analytical skillsProven ability to work effectively in a team environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to deal effectively with all levels of employees.Must be professional and able to maintain confidentiality with the capability of communicating sensitive or confidential issues with the utmost discretionPosition continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacyProficient in Microsoft Office Suite applicationsEssential Functions:Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations, including Open EnrollmentAssist employees with benefits and payroll-related questions, including claim resolution supportSupport calendar management and internal and external meeting planningCoordinate onboarding programs and ensure completion of required documentation and trainingAdminister leave tracking and documentation, including FMLACreate biweekly and monthly reportsAudit benefits invoices and billsOwn and administer the learning management system (Paycor LMS or similar)Support learning and development initiatives and maintain required training recordsCoordinate employee engagement and benefits communications, including newsletters and recognition platformsPartner with the Social Committee to support employee events and recognition activitiesMaintain organizational charts and perform HRIS data entryExecute engagement tactics for remote employeesAudit and retain employee filesProduce confidential reports and documentsAdditional duties as assigned by the Senior Leadership or Leadership team members.
