As a Founding Engineer at Pascal, you will deliver modern, agent-first architectures to our customers. Responsibilities include:\n\nBuilding the foundational infrastructure (both single and multi-tenant hosting models).\n\nResolving messy data extraction at terabyte-scale.\n\nDesigning the primitives for multi-step, memory-intensive agents and their data access policies.\n\nDeploying production agents for marquee enterprise customers.\n\nShaping the initial culture of the founding team.\n\nThis role will be in-person at our NYC office five days a week.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring\n\n3+ years of engineering experience wrangling with modern server-side and client-side languages.\n\nA track record of defining and delivering cross-stack technical designs.\n\nAbility to distill outcome-driven customer requirements into clear hypotheses and solutions.\n\nA strong debugging intuition when operating in production environments with limited playbooks.\n\nAn openness to explore and bring new agentic workflows to day-to-day engineering processes.\n\nA first-principles, direct, and collaborative mindset.\n\nBonus points\n\nFamiliarity with GCP and Terraform.\n\nFamiliarity with large-scale document data extraction.\n\nFamiliarity with search tooling and retrieval methodologies at scale.\n\nOwn technical engagement with customers and prospects.\n\nWillingness to encourage AI-driven workflows in other internal functions.\n\nBenefits\n\n$150,000 - $250,000 base salary with significant early-stage equity.\n\nComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.\n\nFlexible, unlimited PTO policy.\n\nDaily in-office sponsored lunches (and dinners when working late).\n\nWorkspace accommodations (standing desks, core AI software, etc.)\n\nAs the business grows, we want every individual to share in that growth by expanding role opportunities and compensation.
