SMT Feeder Setup Technician The SMT Feeder Setup Technician is responsible for preparing, setting up, and maintaining feeders used in Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production lines. This role ensures accurate component loading, feeder verification, and timely support to meet production schedules while maintaining quality and efficiency standards. Shift: Day Job Type: Full-Time Responsibilities: Prepare and set up SMT feeders according to production schedules, work orders, and BOM requirements Load, verify, and stage components (reels, trays) to ensure correct part numbers and quantities Perform feeder validation and ensure proper configuration before line setup Support SMT line changeovers to minimize downtime and improve efficiency Monitor feeder performance and troubleshoot issues such as misfeeds or jams Maintain feeder inventory, labeling, and organization (kitting/staging areas) Ensure all materials are handled in compliance with ESD and quality standards Coordinate with Production, PM, and Warehouse teams to ensure material readiness Perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning of feeders Accurately document setup activities and report discrepancies or shortages Skills: SMT feeder setup & material verification BOM and work order interpretation ESD compliance & component handling Basic troubleshooting (feeder jams/misfeeds) Attention to detail & organization Team collaboration in production environment Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required 1–3 years of experience in SMT, PCBA manufacturing, or electronics assembly preferred Basic understanding of SMT processes, feeder types, and component handling Ability to read work orders, BOMs, and production documentation Familiarity with ERP or Shop Floor Control (SFC) systems is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Benefits PEAK's benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Dependent Care Savings Account (DCA), and 401K plan.
