The ideal candidate will have relevant experience with heavy truck (military or non-military), agriculture, automotive or heavy construction product design.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral1. Perform analyses of vehicle components and subsystems, that will include layouts, diagrams, bills of material, and drawings/schematics of components and assemblies with supporting calculations, (reliability impact, repair times, safety hazards, tradeoffs) in support of the overall vehicle design with minimal supervision2. Perform job duties in an ethical, professional manner which is consistent. Conduct duties consistent with the Company's mission statement, quality objectives, and defined policies and procedures3. Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources concerning technical issues4. Provide direction to associate specialists regarding engineering analysis5. Ensure the program defines and collects evidence in meeting established Reliability/Safety requirements6. Participates in Integrated Project Team (IPT) meetings, system design meetings, program engineering review and change board meetings7. Participates in Working Groups (WGs) to validate the system's design to meet requirements8. Review and provide input to Systems Engineering, Design and Software documentation consistent with project phase to include requirements development, design, development, verification, test methods and performance verification9. Support Configuration Control Board (CCB)Reliability, Availability, Maintainability1. Monitor and manage the Test Incident Report (TIR) process during vehicle reliability testing2. Provide technical assistance with TIR database management and ability to create custom queries from the TIR database in support of reliability analysis3. Perform Root Cause and Corrective Action, with Design Engineering on new product issues4. Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA)MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering discipline, or other relevant engineering discipline.- 5+years of experience in Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA).- Understanding of vehicular systems and their integration.- 3 plus years of related experience in a heavy equipment industry.- 3 plus years of experience in reliability & maintainability engineering.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.- Experience with CAD Modeling software and interpretation of engineering drawings and schematics.- Advanced mathematical and statistics background.STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:- Advanced technical writing skills.- Strong working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and systems.- Diesel and/or Agricultural equipment repair and assembly experience.- Computer programming familiarity including Arbor Text, VBA, etc.- PTC product experience including Windchill, Creo, and Windchill Quality Solutions.- Vendor development and support experience.Top qualifications:1. A minimum of 3 years of R&M experience.2. Strong data analytics and mathematical skills – they will be evaluating failure data from the trucks and working to make improvements based on the data collected2. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or a STEM field)4.
