This is not a maintenance role. The Controller will be expected to identify inefficiencies, eliminate low value work, improve financial operations, and help build a faster, more scalable accounting environment. The role owns the close, controls, cash management, tax compliance, and accounting systems while partnering closely with the CFO and supporting FP&A through accurate, reliable financial data.\nWhat You'll Do:\nOwn and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes\nMaintain general ledger integrity, reconciliations, and accurate financial reporting\nImprove close efficiency by reducing manual work and streamlining processes\nBuild and strengthen internal controls and maintain audit readiness\nLead external audits and ensure documentation and processes are audit quality\nIdentify and implement automation opportunities across accounting workflows\nLeverage AI and systems tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability\nPartner cross functionally to streamline workflows and eliminate redundant processes\nTrack and report operational improvements and efficiency gains\nManage cash flow visibility, liquidity planning, and banking relationships\nDrive disciplined working capital management\nOwn federal, state, and local tax filings and manage external tax advisors\nSupport practical and efficient tax strategies and compliance processes\nOwn NetSuite structure, integrity, reporting outputs, and system integrations\nEnsure clean, reliable, and actionable financial data across systems\nLead and develop a small accounting team with clear expectations and accountability\nDrive execution, continuous improvement, and operational discipline across the Finance function\nWhat You'll Need:\n7–10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Controller-level responsibility\nStrong GAAP knowledge with proven close and audit experience\nTax experience across multiple jurisdictions (federal, state, and local)\nDemonstrated ability to improve processes and drive operational efficiency\nComfort operating in lean, fast-moving, and evolving environments\nIFRS awareness and/or experience\nStrong collaboration skills; comfortable partnering across sales, marketing, product, engineering, and finance\nPreferred Qualifications\nCPA qualification preferred, but not required\nExperience with SOC2, FCRA, and ASC 606 preferred, but not required\nNetSuite experience strongly preferred\nA dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free with access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection.
