This role supports safe, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations by leading preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, root cause analysis, equipment criticality, digital reliability tools, and long-term asset performance improvements.\n\nNATURE & SCOPE OF POSITION:\n\nLead reliability improvements for critical manufacturing assets, including shredders, mills, conveyors, dust-collection, chemical dosing, automated bagging, and related support systems.\nDevelop and maintain a long-term Asset Reliability Roadmap aligned with plant objectives, business priorities, capital planning, and operational excellence goals.\nUse maintenance history, CMMS/SAP data, downtime trends, equipment health information, and reliability metrics to prioritize risks, corrective actions, and asset lifecycle decisions.\nSupport digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives through predictive maintenance technology, IIoT sensors, real-time monitoring, dashboards, and connected asset tools.\nPartner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Automation, EHS, and contractors to improve equipment reliability, diagnostics, maintainability, safety, quality, and production performance.\n\nESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:\n\nDesign, implement, and sustain reliability-centered maintenance strategies, including PM optimization, equipment criticality, inspection standards, lubrication practices, failure mode reviews, and risk-based maintenance.\nLead root cause failure analysis and corrective-action follow-up for high-impact or recurring equipment failures affecting safety, quality, cost, or production.\nImplement and utilize predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, ultrasound, online condition monitoring, and equipment health monitoring systems.\nIntegrate reliability data into SAP, CMMS, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools to improve visibility, decision making, KPI tracking, and maintenance effectiveness.\nApply advanced reliability methods such as MTBF/MTTR analysis, FMEA, Weibull analysis, lifecycle cost analysis, asset lifecycle planning, and equipment replacement strategies.\nCollaborate with automation and controls teams to improve PLC/SCADA diagnostics, alarm management, data historian use, industrial networking, and real-time asset performance monitoring.\nIdentify opportunities to improve sustainability, energy efficiency, environmental performance, spare parts strategy, and equipment obsolescence management through reliability initiatives.\n\nIS THIS JOB FOR YOU?\n\nEducation\n\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred; equivalent technical education and industrial experience may be considered.\n\nExperience\n\nFive-plus (5+) years of reliability, maintenance, engineering, or manufacturing experience preferred.\n\nTechnical Knowledge & Skills\n\nExperience with CMMS/SAP PM, Power BI or data analytics, PM/PdM, RCA, reliability metrics, rotating equipment, conveyors, dust-collection, automated packaging, chemical dosing, PLCs, SCADA, industrial networking, data historians, IIoT or connected asset technologies preferred.\nKnowledge of OT cybersecurity, lifecycle asset management, FMEA, MTBF/MTTR, risk-based maintenance, and continuous improvement is desirable.\nCMRP, CRE, CRL, vibration analysis, or Six Sigma certification is a plus.\n\n#LI-ME1\n\nA LITTLE MORE ABOUT US\n\nThrough the responsible development of innovative and sustainable building products, CertainTeed, headquartered in Malvern, Pennsylvania, has helped shape the building products industry for more than 110 years.
