If you have an eye for quality, enjoy skilled hands-on work, and want to be part of the process that turns raw lumber into structural building materials, wed love to talk with you. What youll do:\nYoull feed lumber onto the finger joint table in proper sequence, working from daily production sheets to match the correct species, grade, and quantity. Youll cut boards to standard for defects like knots, splits, and wane, ensure finger joint cutters are producing clean, quality joints, and confirm glue is applied correctly at every stage. From there, youll load boards into the Crowder in the right sequence and configuration, keeping a close eye on quality and consistency throughout the run. What youll bring:\nHigh school diploma or GED\nAbility to read and follow daily production sheets\nWorking knowledge of lumber grading standards\nExperience operating machines with a computer based interface.\nComfort using measurement tools (tape measure, moisture meter)\nExperience with powered hand tools\nBasic math skills and strong attention to detail\nAbility to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision Schedule:\nMonday–Thursday, 6:45 AM–5:15 PM, with possible overtime on Fridays (same shift hours). What to expect:\nThis is an indoor manufacturing role with occasional outdoor work. Youll be on your feet for most of the shift (10 hours standing), sometimes working overhead, in an environment with varying temperatures and typical plant noise.
