In this position, you will be responsible for Operating and monitoring multiple specialized computers numerically controlled (CNC) machines used in the production of automotive wheel bearings.\nResponsibilities\nFollow all company rules and regulations related to environmental, health, and safety.\nRead and follow work instructions and inspection standards to correctly perform operational processes and meet customer product specifications.\nStart-up and shut-down machines according to procedures.\nOperate, monitor, and adjust machines in a grinding, assembly, or broach and turning line via switches, buttons, and displays.\nSupply components to hoppers, indexing poles or conveyors.\nUsing hand tools, change worn machine accessories such as grinding wheels, finishing stones, and tool inserts.\nVisually inspect components and parts for defects, sort and disassemble defect parts.\nMeasure components and parts with precision dial indicators or other instruments to ensure they meet customer requirements and machines are operating correctly.\nTroubleshoot causes of machine alarms and take appropriate action.\nRecord quality inspection data on check sheets.\nRecord production information on daily reports.\nEnter inventory transactions using the Bar Code Inventory system.\nSafely use powered material handling equipment such as forklifts, scissors tables, hoists, or pallet jacks to lift and transfer materials from one place to another.\nObserve line operation to detect causes of part defects or specific machine malfunctions and provide machine repair technicians with information.\nPerform machine preventative maintenance such as cleaning or adding oil to reservoirs.\nThis list is not inclusive; other job-related tasks may be assigned.\nSkills and Abilities\nThis job requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).\nBasic mechanical knowledge of computerized machines, gauges, and hand tools\nGeneral knowledge of material handling, manufacturing processes, quality control systems\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, and decimals.\nCommunicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.\nAbility to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.\nRespond promptly to a sound or light signal when it occurs.\nConcentrate on a task over several minutes without being distracted.\nArrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern.\nPhysically move objects safely by using proper lifting techniques.\nEducation and/or Experience\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.\nA minimum of 1 year driving a fork-lift truck is desired.\nCertification in operating a fork-lift is preferred.\nPhysical Requirements\nEmployee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.\nRegularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\nThis position requires sufficient vision to see details at close range, so the person can pass an inspection test of finished parts and components.\nBenefits\nA comprehensive benefits package to include Medical, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance, Prescription coverage, Short and Long Term Disability, Vacation, Holiday Pay, 401k Retirement Plan as well as company paid uniforms and more!\nNote: Nothing in this job description restricts management’s right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.\nApply here, schedule a meeting here, call (847)-622-4544.\nAvimoe is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
