Join our team and help us keep communities connected.\nYour Opportunity\nRight of Way Project Manager that possesses an excellent working knowledge of all right of way disciplines including title, permitting, valuation, acquisition, closing and documentation.\nPosition available in the Roanoke, VA office.\nYour Key Responsibilities\nServe as a technical lead for the project team responsible for performing Right of Way functions including title, valuation, negotiations and closings.\nAssists in identifying, developing and pursuing new work opportunities and building client relationships.\nAbility to manage multiple projects. Developing proposals and managing the approved scope, budget and schedule.\nDay-to-day project oversight and communication with the client and project team.\nDevelop, track, update, forecast and modify the project schedule and budget throughout all phases of the projects.\nPrepare project status reports.\nReview and approve invoices and change orders associated with projects.\nReports to Principal, Right of Way Sub Sector Lead.\nResponsible for the overall project performance and implementation of our project management frameworks.\nPrimary point of contact and representative to internal partners and clients.\nPerforms other right of way duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.\nExceptional organizational, planning, prioritization skills and attention to detail.\nAnalytical, problem-solver, and detail-oriented.\nMust be comfortable using a variety of different technologies.\nExcellent customer service skills.\nQualifications\nYour Capabilities and Credentials\nThorough understanding of right of way laws.\nExcellent interpersonal skills, and team oriented.\nStrong written and oral communication skills.\nExcellent problem-solving abilities.\nAbility to solve problems using sound professional judgement, creativity and innovation.\nAbility to multi-task on various tasks and projects.\nTakes initiative on tasks and in coordinating with other members of the team.\nAbility to participate and collaborate in project team setting, engage in creative and critical thought and effectively communicate concepts and ideas to others.\nAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.\nAbility to read and interpret land survey documents and right of way maps and drawings.\nFamiliarity with the provisions of the VDOT Right of Way Manual as it applies to the acquisition of property.\nFamiliarity with project management cycle.\nProficiency in MS Office Suite.\nAbility to read and understand real estate terminology.\n50% of your time is spent traveling.\nEnglish language proficient.\nPossess a valid driver’s license and good driving record.\nBilingual (Spanish) a plus.\nEducation and Experience\nTechnical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nMinimum 10 years of experience within ROW discipline\nPosition will primarily work in an office setting; may require some field work.
