Leads a multi-disciplinary team of professional and support staff in strategic directives and care activities to ensure the assigned department achieves best outcomes for patients, families and staff.Job Description:\r\nEssential Functions:Develops expense, operational and capital budgets. Monitors, evaluates and justifies monthly budget expenditures and revenue.Recruits, trains, evaluate, develops, disciplines and/or terminates subordinate staff. Assures that performance standards for all staff are met.Promotes teamwork by building a team environment and fostering cross functional collaboration.Ensures regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness.Maintains safety and quality as priorities, providing direction, prioritization, accountability, enthusiasm and support for safety and quality initiatives.Coordinates staff representation on departmental, hospital and community task forces, committees, quality teams and advisory groups.
