As a Senior Software Engineer, you will specialize in managing and executing migration projects, ensuring the seamless transfer of database systems and applications. This role is pivotal in maintaining data integrity and security throughout the migration process, contributing to our mission of delivering innovative financial services solutions.\r\nWhat you will do:\r\nLead and oversee migration projects; collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and requirements.\r\nAnalyze existing software systems and applications to identify migration requirements and potential challenges.\r\nDevelop migration plans and strategies, outlining timelines, resources, and necessary tools and technologies.\r\nCoordinate with cross-functional teams to implement migration plans, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.\r\nEnsure data integrity and security during the migration process, implementing necessary safeguards and controls.\r\nConduct thorough testing and verification of migrated systems; resolve any issues or errors that may arise.\r\nDocument and maintain accurate records of migration processes and procedures; ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.\r\nProvide technical support and guidance to end-users and stakeholders during and after the migration process.\r\nWhat you will need to have:\r\n5+ years of Golang experience.\r\n5+ years of experience with databases and data migration techniques.\r\n5+ years of experience operating Postgres in a Cloud environment, PostgreSQL database architecture, concepts, features, and high-availability technologies.\r\n5+ years of experience in query optimization, indexing knowledge, modeling basics, materialized views, and partitioning.\r\n5+ years of experience with PL/PgSQL, triggers, and stored procedure development and optimization in PostgreSQL.\r\nBachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.\r\nWhat would be great to have:\r\nExperience with RDBMS in the cloud.\r\nInitiative-taking approach to identify and resolve issues.\r\nExperience in prioritization and management of multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.\r\nExperience with performance and load testing databases.\r\nImportant info about this role:\r\nWe're better together.
