An established hospital in Santa Maria, CA is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a contract position with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. It offers a comfortable lifestyle with proximity to scenic coastal areas and a mild climate year-round.ResponsibilitiesProvide physical therapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings, including musculoskeletal, neuro, wound care, and pediatric patientsManage care for patients with total joint replacements (knees, hips, shoulders) and acute care needsCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams in medical-surgical, telemetry, ICU, and occasional ER/Peds unitsParticipate in orientation and ongoing training specific to floor assignmentsMaintain accurate patient documentation utilizing Cerner EMRAdhere to facility uniform guidelines and weekend shift requirements (typically 3 shifts per quarter, negotiable)Desired Experience & QualificationsMinimum 2 years of clinical experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably with both inpatient and outpatient exposureValid California PT license and current BLS certificationProficiency in Cerner EMRAcute care experience including orthopedic and neurological patient careFlexibility to cover varied shifts with start times between 7:30am and 9:00amWeekend availability negotiable but preferredAdditional DetailsUniform: Business casual for outpatient, dignity health polos provided for inpatientContract position with schedule flexibilityExposure to a wide range of patient diagnoses and therapy modalitiesThis contract assignment offers an excellent chance to expand your expertise in a reputable healthcare setting in Santa Maria.
