Join Our Team as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II Job Description: - Are you ready to elevate your career in a dynamic clinical laboratory environment? As a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II, you will: - Conduct both routine and advanced laboratory procedures. - Ensure precision in specimen processing and handling while delivering insightful test results. - Master the art of testing patient specimens with a focus on blood banking and transfusion services. - Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment, making minor repairs when needed. - Engage in cross-training across various laboratory sections — expand your skill set and enhance your professional growth! - Uphold our laboratory’s quality control program and ensure strict compliance with all policies and procedures. - Participate actively in the evaluation and implementation of new or updated testing procedures and protocols. - Provide vital documentation and notification of critical laboratory values. - Adapt your patient care approach to meet the unique needs of diverse populations. - Collaborate with a team that places a premium on core values and a commitment to excellence. Job Requirements: - Education/Skills: - Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution. - Experience: - No experience required for graduates of an accredited clinical laboratory training program OR - One year of approved clinical laboratory experience, including a clinical rotation in Blood Banking, Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, and Urinalysis/Body Fluids within the last 5 years. - Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: - Certification for MT, MLS, CLS, or MLT from ASCP, AMT, AAB, or HEW/HHS is a must. - New Graduates should be Board Certified or eligible, completing Board Certification within one year of hire (except Louisiana). - Work Schedule: - Saturday through Monday, 6AM - 7:30PM. - Work Type: - Full Time.
