This position serves as a trainer for our educational programming for elementary, middle, and high school students. Trainers will report directly to the Program Director. This part-time position is anticipated to require up to 25 hours per week of instruction and will span mornings, afternoons, and evenings, depending on partner requirements during the summer and fall months. Travel to different sites may be required, and mileage will be reimbursed.\n\nThe Program Trainer must act with integrity, be committed to achieving organizational goals, take responsibility for mission achievement, demonstrate accountability by starting with yes, and demonstrate the ability to inspire, grow, and motivate others.\n\nResponsibilities:\nLeads training classes for elementary, middle, high school, or opportunity youth – training will be provided to specialize in one or more age groups, depending on experience.\nPrograms are delivered in line with the developed curriculum.\nActively engages with students to ensure their learning and knowledge retention.\nFacilitates a strong classroom culture through authentic relationships with students and consistent behavior management.\nProvides feedback and suggestions on curriculum and program revision.\nCollects classroom information, including attendance as well as metric and measurement reports, to ensure the continuous improvement and quality of the program.\nMaintains a safe and healthy training environment by following organization standards and legal regulations.\nMaintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.\nContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.\nOther duties as required.\n\nRequired:\nHS Diploma or GED\nAt least 18 years of age\nMust have reliable transportation\nPreferred\nPrevious experience working with children in a training and/or after-school environment.\nBachelor’s degree in a relevant or related field or pursuing a degree in a relevant or related field. High School diploma or GED required.\nCPR, First Aid, AED certifications\nExperience with technology, education or working with children is a plus!\nKnowledge/Skills:\nKnowledgeable and experienced in training technology or STEM-related programming.\nDemonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement population-appropriate program activities.\nBasic computer programming knowledge/experience\n\nCompudopt provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
