Area Manager
Position Summary & Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Area Manager is responsible for coordinating with the Regional Manager for all communityoperations across multiple properties while providing excellent customer service to residents,colleagues, and ownership. The Area Manager participates as a collaborative member of theoperations leadership team. In addition, this position is responsible for the following:Assisting with oversight of performance across multiple communities, including acting as a back-up for the Regional ManagerProviding timely response to and resolution of community and resident concerns, to include escalated concerns submitted to OwnershipAssisting with both internal and external property inspections for each site, providing inspection reports to Regional Manager and Director of Operations, as well as coordinating solutions to address areas of concernAssisting with audit preparationsCoordinating with Regional Manager and the leaders of Operational Departments to ensure timely completion of section 8 recertifications and timely submission of other documentation required by external agenciesMonitoring deadlines for all communities in conjunction with the Regional ManagerCoordinating with the Regional Manager and Leasing Team Leader to ensure effective community marketing, including successful relationship building with local businesses and corporate outreach as neededAssisting Regional Manager in providing customer support via the Company's support ticketing system.Assisting Regional Manager with month-end reporting supplied to Ownership entitiesEnsuring staff compliance with policies and proceduresAssisting with property lease ups and takeoversCoordinating with Regional Manager and Ownership on Capital Improvement ProjectsAssisting with liability and incident reporting as neededAssisting with legal items as neededOther special projects and duties as assignedEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma; GED or equivalent3-5+ years experience managing communities of 200+ units for a professional Property Management companyTax credit and Section 8 experience preferredYardi software experience preferredRentCafe software experience preferredZenDesk software experience preferredProficiency with technology; including Microsoft Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Excellent leadership and management skills, including effective relationship building both within and outside the organizationExceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individualsAbility to maintain discretion and tact when navigating sensitive situations, fostering positive relationships, and resolving conflictAbility to demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skillsAbility to effectively use, leverage, and learn technology platformsExceptional customer service skillsAbility to maintain a professional image, as well as professional conductAbility to multi-task and work well under pressureAbility to collaborate effectively across multiple teams and demonstrate strong organizational skillsAbility to anticipate challenges and develop proactive, adaptable strategies to manage situations as they ariseStrong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.Ensures clear, respectful, and solution-focused interactions with colleagues, clients, and stakeholdersSalary: $72000.00 - $79000.00 per yearJob Posted by ApplicantPro
