This position involves monitoring the operations of all machinery and equipment within the facility, including refrigeration operations, boilers, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and is ideal for someone who utilizes strategic thinking, organization, and problem-solving skills.\r\nKey Responsibilities 1. Maintenance Team Management:\r\nPlan, schedule, and direct maintenance team.\r\nExecutes locally the strategic vision of cohesive, proactive, technically skilled maintenance departments across all Processing Operating Group.\r\nParticipates in all divisional maintenance team collaboration initiatives.\r\nContinuously improve maintenance processes, program, and team to support on-site operations, develop skills, and prevent mechanical failure.\r\nFoster and lead a working environment that includes open and productive communication with machine operators, department supervisors, and managers.\r\nManages and implements CMMS system for preventative maintenance, work orders, and equipment tracking.\r\n2. Safety and Compliance Administration:\r\nMaintains a working knowledge of safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner.\r\nAdminister Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) principles and requirements to ensure compliance and safety.\r\nModel and administer maintenance department safety plans and procedures.\r\nInteract with regulatory agencies, as necessary.\r\n3. Operation and Project Oversight:\r\nFormulate and implement preventative maintenance schedule for facility machinery and equipment that are consistent with regulatory, manufacturer, and industry standards.\r\nOversee all on-site maintenance functions including refrigeration, electrical, hydraulics, welding, processing equipment, employee housing, etc.\r\nCoordinate and inspect work performed by third-party refrigeration contractors.\r\nDevelop and maintain the maintenance department budget, tracking expenses and driving down costs, where feasible.\r\nManage alternating schedules for weekend or after-hours emergency response.\r\nOversee new installation projects and strategic initiatives.\r\nWilling to travel to other processing plants for support and training, as needed.\r\nAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.\r\nWhat You Bring To Pacific Seafood Required\r\nHigh school diploma or GED.\r\nUnderstanding and ability to troubleshoot basic electrical systems.\r\n3+ years experience managing and directing a team of technicians in preventative maintenance, repair, operations, and safety.\r\nAbility to manage and execute minor engineering projects and installations such as refrigeration systems, pumps, conveyor systems, boilers, etc.\r\n5+ years of industrial maintenance in manufacturing, food processing or seafood processing.\r\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work within time constraints.\r\nProficiency in basic math and ability to read and write clear correspondence.\r\nValid driver's license.\r\nMust be able to travel occasionally.\r\nPreferred\r\nFive years' experience operating and maintaining industrial refrigeration systems utilizing ammonia and freon refrigerants, boilers, and hydraulic equipment.\r\nExperience operating and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems and facility electrical systems.\r\nExperience using common welding processes and fabrication with an emphasis in stainless and aluminum.\r\nEPA Universal Certification, EPA 608 or 609 certification.\r\nCIRO certification.\r\nForklift Certification.\r\nPSM/RMP experience.\r\nExperience in mechanical engineering, construction, or the food industry.\r\nHACCP and HAZWOPER certification\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nSedentary work, walking and standing are required only occasionally.\r\nReaching. Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.\r\nFingering. Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand as in handling.\r\nTalking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
