Operators embody ourPOWER culture Positive, Open, Winning, Energetic, and Resilientcreating an environment where excellence thrives.\r\nEssential Functions\r\nSets up and operates various types of CNC and auxiliary equipment to produce high-quality products at an acceptable productivity level.\r\nPerforms minor edits to CNC programs as needed to ensure efficiency and accuracy.\r\nReads and interprets blueprints, technical drawings, and job instructions to meet specifications.\r\nPrograms mills and lathes by entering precise instructions, including zero and reference points, tool registers, offsets, and other parameters using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry.\r\nMonitors and maintains specifications during operations, including drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing processes.\r\nTroubleshoots process malfunctions and adjusts controls or reprograms as necessary.\r\nMaintains and sharpens tools, replacing worn components as needed to uphold quality standards.\r\nParticipates in continuous improvement initiatives and team problem-solving efforts.\r\nAssists with special projects, such as prototype development or process optimization.\r\nKeeps work area and equipment clean, safe, and orderly in alignment with our POWER values.\r\nStrictly adheres to safety procedures and quality standards, including standard operating procedures (SOPs).\r\nEngages in training and development sessions to stay current with industry best practices.\r\nMinimum Job Requirements\r\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\r\nProficiency in decimals, fractions, geometry, and basic math.\r\nExperience using precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).\r\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.\r\nStrong basic reading, writing, and English language skills.\r\nPrior experience with CNC programming and operating (preferred).\r\nPhysical Requirements\r\nRegularly lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries 25 pounds or more.\r\nAbility to stand for extended periods during a full shift.\r\nFrequently bends, squats, or reaches below and overhead.\r\nAbility to move freely within the machine shop environment.\r\nPhysical Work Environment\r\nExposure to consistent machine noise, HVAC systems, dust, oil, and chemicals.\r\nPersonal protective equipment (PPE), includingsteel-toe shoes , safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves, is required at all times.\r\nCommitment to maintaining a clean, organized workspace in adherence to safety standards.Compensation\r\nThis position includes a 10% pay premium for employees working night shift, applied to their regular hourly rate.
