This role focuses on driving process improvements, implementing equipment upgrades, and supporting new installations to deliver high-quality films and compounds efficiently and cost-effectively.\nKey Responsibilities\nPlan, conduct, and document processing trials (film extrusion, compounding, testing, and sample analysis).\nOptimize process parameters to improve efficiency during new product introductions.\nIdentify and implement innovations, process improvements, and cost-reduction initiatives.\nEnhance manufacturing operations through scrap reduction, process troubleshooting, setup time reduction, quality improvements, and maximizing equipment performance.\nProvide technical and engineering support across production and related plant functions.\nParticipate in equipment selection, setup, validation, and operator training.\nActively support product and equipment validation activities.\nMaintain compliance with quality management systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring alignment with company success factors and standards.\nQualifications & Competencies\nEducation & Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Plastics, Chemical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent).\n10+ years of process engineering experience in a plastics/polymer manufacturing environment (compounding, film extrusion, or calendering).\nHands-on, proactive approach with a strong problem-solving mindset.\nSkills & Knowledge\nFamiliarity with Lean Six Sigma tools preferred.\nProven ability to assess and improve processes, productivity, and material utilization.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills for leading investigations, documenting corrective actions, and collaborating across teams.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and statistical software (e.g., Minitab).\nAbility to create clear procedures, work instructions, technical reports, and trial protocols.\nStrong analytical skills to evaluate processes and recommend improvements.\nAdditional Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required (in addition to the qualifications above).\nStrong English language comprehension, written communication, and reasoning skills (verified through testing/interview).\nDemonstrated math and technical aptitude.\nFor specialized roles (e.g., maintenance-related), documented competency in required technical skills (such as electrical knowledge) may be required.\n\nAbout the Company\nOur client is a Global Manufacturer with over 30 locations worldwide.
