Brake Operator
Position: Press Brake OperatorShift: M-F, 1st (7am - 3:30pm), 2nd (3:30pm - 12am) Pay: $16.00 per hour plus shift differential for 2nd Location: Denton, TX Anchor Fabrication, LLC, a precision metal fabrication company is seeking an experienced Press Brake Operator. Qualified candidates will be self-motivated and work with limited supervision setting up and operating Brake to bend, form and straighten metal stock to blueprint or specifications. Duties and Functions:The position requires the operator to set up and operate all press brakes, including numerical control press brake, to bend metal to dimensions and angles. Verify dimensions of work piece using template, scale or other precision measuring instruments. Read, plan and make calculations for machine operationSets up and operate the press brake to bend, form and straightenDetermine and select dies for operationPlan sequence of operations applying knowledge of physical properties of metalSet up dies and support equipment for operationRun press brake and produce parts as requiredVerify final product from press brake and perform all final Quality Check activitiesMaintain cleanliness and organization of machines and diesOperate machine and handle tooling using safe manufacturing practicesUtilize gauges, sample parts and poke yoke fixtures to fabricate parts to specFigure bend lines and calculate size and angles using calculators and or chartsAbility to make required checks and make changes in programs to produce parts to specAbility to read calipers, height gauges and tape measurePrioritize production runs to make sure required dates are metResponsible for utilizing set-up scrap pieces so that jobs complete with required qty.'sCollaborate on Safety, production and machine TIS'sAbility to build a bend program from scratch and enter program into machineClaim labor correctly utilizing computersAbility to train new employees in all duties of a Press Brake OperatorAbility to make sure employees run correct jobs utilizing the Production monitor screensAbility to troubleshoot scrap issues and correctAbility to program all BrakesOther duties as assigned.
