This role will be responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, cash management, and compliance. As a key member of our team, the Controller will also help shape financial strategy and drive data-informed decision-making to support company growth and profitability.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nFinancial Management & Reporting\n\nLead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.\nPrepare and present financial statements, KPIs, and dashboards to executive leadership.\nMaintain and improve internal control policies, procedures, and systems.\nManage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.\n\nBudgeting & Forecasting\n\nDrive the annual budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with department heads.\nProvide rolling forecasts and variance analysis to monitor performance against plan.\nSupport scenario modeling and financial planning for strategic initiatives.\n\nOperational & Strategic Support\n\nPartner with leadership to assess pricing models, margin performance, and service profitability.\nDevelop financial models to support strategic decisions, including acquisitions, capital investments, and cost management.\nImplement financial systems and process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.\n\nCash Management & Risk Mitigation\n\nOversee cash flow planning, working capital optimization, and treasury operations.\nMonitor financial risks and ensure adequate insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies.\n\nTeam Leadership\n\nSupervise and mentor a small team of accounting and finance staff.\nBuild a high-performing finance function through coaching, training, and continuous improvement.\n\nRequirements:\n\nRequired:\n\nBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.\nCPA or CMA designation preferred.\n7+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance, with at least 2 years in a Controller or equivalent role.\nStrong understanding of GAAP, financial systems, and accounting operations.\n\nPreferred:\n\nExperience in a service-based or MSP environment is a plus.\nProficiency with ERP/accounting systems (Specifically Business Central).\nAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skills.\nDemonstrated ability to partner with technical teams (e.g., IT, operations, engineering) to improve financial reporting, project costing, and system automation\nExperience leading or supporting financial system upgrades, integrations, or automation projects (e.g., integrating accounting software with CRM or PSA tools).\n\nSoft Skills:\n\nStrategic thinker with strong business acumen.\nHigh attention to detail and integrity.\nEffective communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.\nProven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nCompensation & Benefits:\n\n$120,000.00 - $170,000.00/ Year, based on experience\nHealth, Dental, Vision & other additional benefits\n401K (With 4% Match) eligible after 90 Days\nGenerous PTO\n\nTech-Keys has been named an NJ Top Workplace four years in a row, and that’s no accident.
