Requisition ID: 183434Position SummaryGuard industrial and commercial property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entryExperience LevelSkilledPrimary Responsibilities and DutiesWarn violators of rule infractions, or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts.Guard industrial and commercial property against fire, theft, vandalism, and illegal entry.Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, apply feedback to improve performance, observe safety and security procedures, and report potentially unsafe conditions.Patrol Building, grounds and docks of industrial worksite, plant, or commercial establishment.Provided gate security by screening visitors, managing access, and ensuring site safety at all times.QualificationsExperience as a Security Officer / Gate Guard in a Power Plant / Industrial settingMust possess working knowledge skills and abilities for position.Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.Ability to use hand tools, power tools and layout tools safe and efficiently.RequirementsThe person in this position needs to constantly move about a construction/industrial site, so should be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawlConstantly works in a construction environment and will be exposed to changing outdoor weather conditionsWork irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as requiredMay be required to use ladders/mechanical platforms/manlifts/scaffold to accessrequired equipment/work areas (may exceed 200 feet), so must be able to climb andmaintain balance on formwork, steel formwork, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsMove and work in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven surfacesMust be able to complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environmentMay be required/able to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across construction/industrial siteMust have required toolsObserve and comply with all safety and project rules, perform other duties as requiredAbility to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit for duty medical and background checkEqual Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
