This role combines hands‑on maintenance expertise with front‑line production supervision, ensuring equipment reliability, production efficiency, and facility oversight.\n\nSchedule & Hours\n3rd shift, Friday & Saturday, 11 pm – 7:15 am\n\nQualifications / Requirements\n\nRequires good math skills and the ability to read and understand instructions and manuals.\n\nMust have a thorough knowledge of PLC‑controlled machinery.\n\nDemonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills required to oversee production personnel.\n\nAbility to make sound decisions independently during assigned shift operations.\n\nRequires experience and skills in areas relating to electrical machine maintenance and modification.\n\nMust be advanced in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and general computer applications.\n\nRequires experience and skills in areas relating to building construction and modification.\n\nMust have electrical, plumbing & HVAC experience.\n\nEPA certification is preferred, not required.\n\nMust possess a valid driver’s license, be able to transport 50 pounds, operate shop equipment, power tools, and use hand tools.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\nDiagnose and repair all types of manufacturing equipment using specialized experience in electrical and PLC‑controlled equipment.\n\nOversee production operations during assigned shift to ensure safety, quality, and productivity targets are met.\n\nActs as the primary point of contact for all production and maintenance issues during the shift.\n\nEnsure staffing levels are adequate and manage attendance for all personnel on shift.\n\nApproves employee time off and vacation requests in accordance with company policy.\n\nCoordinates production priorities and communicates effectively with other shifts and management.\n\nEnsures adherence to standard operating procedures, quality requirements, and safety policies.\n\nIdentifies and escalates production, personnel, or equipment issues as needed.\n\nDrives accountability and performance within the team.\n\nMaintains a total productive maintenance program that follows the manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures.\n\nThis includes all manufacturing equipment, HVAC, vacuum systems, dust collection systems, dehumidifier units, air compressors, furnaces, lighting, etc.\n\nAssists with handling equipment breakdowns and completes maintenance work requests as needed and assigned by Maintenance Engineering Manager.\n\nAssists in modifications as described in approved project proposals.\n\nUtilizes time between various stages of major projects to accomplish smaller projects.\n\nParticipates in lean activities, including but not limited to:\n\nLean training and lean events such as kaizen or a 5‑day event.\n\n5‑S program in the various departments assigned.\n\nDMAICs – efficiency looks for ways to improve both the departments and own individual efficiencies and time management, as well as ways to improve any aspect of the Company’s operations and develops and implements DMAICs accordingly.\n\nNotifies the Manager of any production, equipment, safety, personnel problems, etc., and cooperates in resolving such issues as well.
