This is an entry-level opportunity for someone early in their software engineering career to learn full-stack development practices and contribute to features under the guidance of senior engineers. This individual will support mission-critical claims analytics and operational software.\n\nResponsibilities\nWrite clean, well-documented code to support full-stack feature development\nAssist with implementing and testing small, well-defined UI and API features under guidance\nSupport senior engineers in debugging and resolving software defects\nLearn and apply the team’s coding standards, tools, and development processes\nParticipate in peer code reviews to build familiarity with team practices\nAssist with writing and maintaining unit tests\nDocument code and contribute to technical documentation as directed\nLearn the team’s domain, codebase, and Modern Disability Claims systems\nRequired Qualifications\nU.S. Citizenship required\nMust hold or be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance; an active Secret or Top Secret clearance also satisfies this requirement\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience\n0–4 years of experience in software engineering or a related field\nFamiliarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and a modern front-end framework such as React.js\nBasic understanding of Node.js and RESTful APIs\nFamiliarity with Git and version-control workflows\nStrong attention to detail and eagerness to learn\nAbility to work collaboratively and receive feedback and mentorship from senior team members\nPreferred Qualifications\nCoursework, internship, or project experience with full-stack development\nExposure to MERN or PERN stack technologies, including MongoDB, Express.js, and PostgreSQL\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines or containerization technologies such as Docker\nFamiliarity with healthcare or claims data\nBenefits\nHealth insurance\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nLife Insurance\n401(k) Retirement Plan with matching\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Federal Holidays\nSteerBridge is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
