A candidate for this position will have hands-on lab experience across a variety of techniques to support a research lab focusing on development of medical adhesives and other medical devices.\nPOSITION OVERVIEW:\nWorks under regular guidance from senior technicians and developers, following established test methods and procedures. Assists in material generation and data gathering for new medical surgical products. Performs chemical, physical, optical, and/or mechanical analyses as directed. Compiles, documents, and reports results accurately. Strong ability to follow detailed written directions, ask questions proactively, and manage time and communication effectively.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPreparing and testing samples for a variety of physical and chemical properties tests including sheer, peel, adhesion, tensile strength, liner and carrier release, MVTR, pH etc.\nCollate, interpret and analyze data including generating figures, etc.\nDocument data and results in an Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN)\nMaintain laboratory equipment and supplies maintenance\nEscalating questions or unexpected results to senior technicians or developers as needed.\nMaintain lab-scale equipment.\nRecord, analyze and report data correctly and accurately.\nActively engage in communication related to testing and results, equipment issues, and workload progress.\nSeeking out new work requests when current tasks are complete\nGood time management skills\nQUALIFICATIONS:\n2-year technical/associate degree in a science-related field (chemistry, physics, materials science, or related), or equivalent hands-on lab or equipment experience.\nSome prior experience working with lab equipment or in a lab-adjacent setting — candidates with zero hands-on exposure are not a fit.\nAbility to follow detailed written test methods and procedures independently after training.\nNICE TO HAVE:\nBackground in chemistry, physics, or materials science (biology candidates considered, though the work is physical and hands-on rather than wet-chemistry or aseptic).\nAble to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills\nDisclaimer: Brooksource, Medasource, and Calculated Hire are part of the Eight Eleven Group family of companies and operate under Eight Eleven Group, LLC.
