Data Entry Clerk

Zimmer Biomet Great Lakes is an independent distributor of Zimmer Biomet, Inc. based in Troy Michigan. Our mission is to provide products dedicated to alleviating pain and improving the quality of life for people around the world. The account data entry clerk is an important part of our team as we continue to grow. We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven medical data entry clerk with a background in administrative support. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in working with multiple accounts. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Create spreadsheets to track important customer information and orders. Transfer data from a hard copy to a digital database. Update customer information in a database. Organize existing data in a spreadsheet. Verify outdated data and make any necessary changes to records. Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers. Search for and investigate information contained in files. Perform regular database backups to secure data. Input text-based and numerical information from source documents. Provide occasional administrative support. Sort and organize hard copies of paperwork after entering data electronically. Review data for deficiencies or errors. Assist with special projects that require large amounts of data entry. Provide data entry support across departments on an ad-hoc basis. Type in data quickly and efficiently. Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities) Excellent telephone skills and the ability to handle multiple daily telephone calls positively. Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, sales representatives and healthcare office staff Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to write legibly with correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation Ability to analyze situations and resolve problems (i.e., consolidate shipments from various suppliers and ensure documentation for export is correct) Effective working in teams to achieve the department’s objectives Attention to details Education/Experience Requirements Associate degree preferred 1–3 years of medical billing/customer service experience required Job Type: Part-Time Salary: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: Birthday PTO Paid time off Sick Paid Time off Schedule: 4-hour shift Monday to Friday in office
