Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Disaster Services Specialist will carry out the functions associated with the North Carolina Office of Emergency Medical Services (NC OEMS) Scope of Work for the Hospital Preparedness Program. This includes but limited to logistical matters related to the Eastern Regional Advisory Committee's (ERAC), State Medical Assistance Team (SMAT), and the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response Grant (ASPR) grant.You will be required to:Assist with coordinating and managing the responsibilities of ERAC SMATPlan and conduct administrative dutiesAssist in the coordination of the HPPOther duties as assignedMinimum RequirementsCollege Degree (4 years) is required or higherClass A CDL or obtain one within 6 months of employment5 years of experience required with an additional 5 years of experience substituted for 4-year degree.5 years or greater experiences as: Nursing, Emergency Management, Emergency Services, EMS, and/or Fire ServicesPreferred:* Certified EMT-ParamedicECU HealthAbout ECU HealthECU Health is a mission-driven, 1,708-bed academic health care system serving more than 1.4 million people in 29 eastern North Carolina counties.
