Engineer","description":"A global manufacturer of sustainable industrial packaging solutions is looking to appoint an experienced Process Engineer to support the continued growth and development of its Bay Area operation.\nThis is an opportunity to join a business that partners with many of the world's leading technology, industrial and manufacturing companies, designing and producing bespoke protective packaging solutions that improve efficiency throughout the supply chain.\nIf you enjoy solving manufacturing challenges, improving processes and working closely with production, engineering and customers to deliver practical solutions, this could be an excellent fit.\nThe Role Working as part of the engineering and operations team, you'll be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, supporting new product introductions and driving continuous improvement across the facility.\nThe position combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with project management, process optimisation and customer collaboration.\nKey Responsibilities Develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes to increase productivity, quality and efficiency.\nSupport the launch of new products from concept through to production.\nAnalyse production data to identify opportunities for waste reduction and process improvement.\nLead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.\nDesign and improve manufacturing work instructions, process documentation and standard operating procedures.\nWork closely with production, quality, sales and customers to resolve technical challenges.\nAssist with tooling, fixtures and equipment improvements.\nSupport root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or production issues.\nHelp optimise plant layout, material flow and manufacturing methods.\nEnsure engineering activities comply with health, safety and quality standards.\nWhat We're Looking For We're interested in speaking with engineers who have experience within manufacturing, ideally producing custom products rather than high-volume commodity items.\nYou'll likely have experience in areas such as:\nProcess Engineering\nManufacturing Engineering\nProduction Engineering\nRequirements Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification preferred.\nExperience within a manufacturing environment.\nStrong understanding of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.\nExperience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and process development.\nExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.\nComfortable working cross-functionally with production, quality and commercial teams.\nStrong communication and project management skills.\nWhat's on Offer
