Child & Youth Program Faclitator

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child & Youth Program Facilitator to lead engaging activities and support the development of children and youth in our community programs. In this role, you will create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where young participants can learn, grow, and have fun. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, teamwork, and physical activity. Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to ensure a safe and respectful environment. Implement classroom management strategies that encourage participation and support individual learning needs. Provide first aid when necessary, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children during activities. Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to support each child's unique needs, including those requiring special education or additional assistance. Incorporate elements of Christian counseling or values-based programming when appropriate to foster character development. Maintain detailed records of attendance, behavior incidents, and progress reports for each participant. Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, camp, tutoring, or after-school programs is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices. Experience with classroom management techniques that promote positive behavior and engagement. Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred to ensure safety during program activities. Background in special education or experience supporting children with diverse learning needs is a plus. Skills in sports coaching, theater arts, babysitting, or childcare can enhance program delivery. Previous experience in youth programs that involve teaching, childcare, or camp supervision will be advantageous.
