The project provides data collection, technical writing, computer operations, range scheduling, and administrative support services necessary to execute the government's test mission. Support encompasses testing of a wide variety of automotive, combat, electronic, general equipment, and ordnance materiel, with services including data collection and coordination, data compilation and processing, development and management of data collection forms, test monitoring, technical writing and editorial review, reporting, data and software administration, range scheduling, and related operational support.\n\nThe Computer Operator I assists functional users with computer processing requirements and supports the setup and maintenance of test projects and customized electronic data-entry forms. The role learns and gains experience using web-enabled data management and reporting tools to track data flow, query databases, and produce reports based on user requirements.\n\nWork will be performed primarily onsite in Aberdeen, Maryland, with travel to other locations within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) as required by mission needs. This position is contingent upon contract award.\n\nResponsibilities\nAssist functional users of computer systems by accepting processing requirements and preparing them for execution.\nAssist in setting up and maintaining test projects and suggest improvements to customized electronic data-entry forms.\nLearn and gain experience using web-enabled data management systems such as ODIN and VDLS to track and monitor data flow.\nLearn and gain experience using application tools such as Cognos to query databases and produce professional reports based on user requirements.\nQualifications\nAssociate's degree in Computer Studies or a related field such as Information Technology, Information Management Systems, or Computer Technology; OR two (2) years of experience using data-entry software tools in a Windows environment and industry-standard reporting tools such as IBM Cognos, Microsoft Access, or Crystal Reports.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.\nMust possess a high school diploma.\nMust be proficient in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding English.\nMust be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.\nMust be proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office software.\nMust be able to meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned functions, which may include working in extreme heat or cold, high humidity, blowing sand and dust, confined spaces, at heights, and walking distances over unimproved terrain while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nMust be available to support work outside normal duty hours when required by mission needs.\nMust be willing and able to travel within CONUS and OCONUS as required.\n\nDexis is on a mission to help solve today's most pressing global political, social, and economic challenges and create a world where all people are safe and prosperous.
