The role requires superior analytical skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to collaborate across a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.\nThe Assistant Controller will primarily support the Finance and Accounting teams and work closely with team members in Accounting, Operations, Construction, Marketing, and Sales across the global Serverfarm organization.\n\nAs the Assistant Controller, you will supervise, manage, and evaluate day-to-day activities. The responsibilities will include ownership of the month-end preparation and closing process, ownership of the general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, and look for opportunities to streamline and optimize operations. This person will work with and report directly to the controller.\nEssential Functions\nAssist in establishing and upholding appropriate accounting methodologies, policies, and standards.\nSupervise and manage the daily functions of the accounting department, including:\nConducting month and year-end financial reviews\nHandling accounts payable and receivable\nManaging treasury operations and budgeting\nAnalyzing revenue and expenditure discrepancies\nReconciling capital asset accounts\nImplement corporate-level accounting practices to regulate and forecast business operations effectively.\nPrepare multi-currency financial statements and assist in consolidations.\nProvide budgetary support for projects throughout all phases, from initiation to completion.\nEnhance systems and procedures, and initiate corrective measures as needed.\nDelegate projects and oversee staff to ensure compliance and precision.\nPerform other duties as required.\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field is required\n5 – 7+ years of experience in the accounting field\nExperience in real estate and asset management is a plus\nExperience working in Netsuite is a plus\nAbility to handle multiple projects at one time and work in a high-volume, fast paced transaction-oriented environment\nGrowth oriented mindset, desire to learn and share knowledge to help others succeed\nHighly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills preferred\nServerfarm is committed to providing an equal opportunity workplace and offers paid time off, paid holidays, 401k, medical and dental.
