You’ll maintain and enhance system performance in large-scale venues while collaborating with a tight-knit team to tackle complex technical challenges.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage procurement for your venues, ensuring cost efficiency and budget adherence for hardware and subcontractor labor.\n\nOptimize network performance by collaborating with system integrators and the operations deployment team during commissioning and integration.\n\nReview and approve system integrator reports, ensuring compliance with carrier KPIs.\n\nAnalyze system health data, including Layer 3 messaging KPIs and carrier RAN metrics, and conduct quality control checks.\n\nPerform routine health checks, preventative maintenance, and ensure system performance aligns with original turn-up standards.\n\nGenerate internal and external performance reports for stakeholders.\n\nConduct system testing, including RF sweep, fiber testing, PIM, and carrier handset testing.\n\nRemotely monitor venues, troubleshooting issues, and coordinate subcontractor dispatch when necessary.\n\nBuild relationships with service providers to enhance system performance through data analysis.\n\nPerform benchmark testing, RF site surveys, and create as-builts for new and existing venues.\n\nExecute system modifications and additions, including DAS, Small Cell, and Wi‑Fi equipment installations, rack stacking, and cable routing.\n\nWork with hand and power tools, coaxial PPC compression tools, Cat5/6 terminations, and RF test equipment.\n\nMaintain strong technical knowledge of wireless network products and ensure compliance with safety, business conduct, and quality assurance standards.\n\nRequirements:\n\n3+ years of hands‑on experience as a DAS or Cellular Field Engineer.\n\nFamiliarity with DAS OEMs (e.g., CommScope, JMA, Corning Mobile Access, SOLiD) and their performance benchmarks.\n\nExperience managing subcontractors remotely across large regions.\n\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, RF schematics (iBwave / Ekahau), and blueprints.\n\nProficiency in updating reports and trouble tickets.\n\nPhysical ability to lift 50 lbs., work outdoors, on ladders, and in confined spaces.\n\nExperience with electrical wiring, ESD products, and working in construction or installation environments with minimal supervision.\n\nCertifications in test equipment (e.g., Anritsu Sweep Master) and connector coring / compression techniques.\n\nBasic LAN Layer 1 & 2 troubleshooting, including Cisco CLI knowledge.\n\nFormal training or equivalent hands‑on experience in basic installation procedures.\n\nWillingness to travel within the Southwest region for up to a week and occasionally work shifts outside regular hours.\n\nMeet Boingo - named among the Best Places to Work!\nFor 20 years, Boingo has been leading the way, pioneering first after first.
