Business Development Manager – Data Center
About this position: The Business Development Manager – Data Center Market is responsible for driving growth and expanding market presence for the company’s products and solutions within the rapidly growing data center industry. This role will develop and execute strategic initiatives to identify, pursue, and secure opportunities with data center owners, developers, EPC firms, OEMs, and channel partners. The ideal candidate brings strong technical and commercial acumen, along with a deep understanding of data center infrastructure, power distribution, cooling technologies, and purchasing dynamics. Responsibilities:Market & Strategy DevelopmentDevelop and execute a business development strategy focused on hyperscale, colocation, and enterprise data center segmentsIdentify target accounts, programs, and projects aligned with company growth objectivesTrack market trends including power density, cooling technologies, sustainability, redundancy, and regulatory requirementsSales & Account DevelopmentEstablish and expand relationships with data center owners, operators, EPCs, designers, OEMs, and integratorsDrive early project specification and product adoption through technical and commercial engagementCollaborate closely with regional sales teams to convert opportunities into revenueTechnical & Commercial EngagementPosition company products as critical solutions supporting uptime, efficiency, safety, and scalability in data centersWork with engineering and product management teams to align offerings with customer needsDevelop and manage strategic partnerships with contractors, distributors, and technology partners serving the data center marketRepresenting the company at industry events, conferences, and customer forums, including frequent national and international travel.QualificationsExisting network within the data center ecosystemExperience working with EPC firms, hyperscalers, or colocation providersStrategic mindset with hands-on execution capabilitySelf-motivated, highly organized, and results-drivenStrong understanding of data center systems (power distribution, cooling, fluid systems, mechanical/electrical infrastructure, or related technologies) Proven ability to influence specifications and manage complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsBachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred)5–10 years of business development or sales experience, with demonstrated success in the data center or mission-critical infrastructure marketWillingness to travel (approximately 30–50%)Benefits:Competitive salary + commissionComprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits for you and your family!Company profit-share BonusGenerous Paid Time OffProfessional development and training opportunities.Collaborative and innovative work environment.About the CompanyFor more than 50 years, STAUFF USA has been developing, manufacturing, and marketing components for the hydraulic industry.
