This position works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to help ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with project specifications and contract requirements. The Project Engineer plays a key role in supporting day-to-day project operations and maintaining effective communication between office and field teams.What You’ll DoAssist project management teams with planning and coordination of water and wastewater construction projectsSupport project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking activitiesCoordinate and review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and project documentationPerform quantity takeoffs and assist with quantity tracking and reportingAssist with procurement and coordination of subcontractors, materials, and equipmentParticipate in project meetings, including owner meetings, progress meetings, and safety meetingsMaintain accurate project records, daily reports, and document control systemsAssist with change order preparation, pricing, and trackingMonitor project progress and support implementation of corrective actions as neededSupport quality control and ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and contract requirementsPerform field walks and coordinate with superintendents and field personnel to verify progress and address project needsAssist with project closeout activities, including punch lists and As-Built documentationPerform additional duties as assigned to support successful project deliveryWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum of 4+ years of construction experience, preferably in heavy civil, water, or wastewater projectsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline preferredUnderstanding of water and wastewater infrastructure construction, including treatment plants, pump stations, and underground utilities preferredAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contractsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong prioritization and time management abilities; detail-orientedProficient in Microsoft programs such as Excel and WordExperience with project management, scheduling, or cost control software preferredStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a project teamMust be capable, licensed, and approved to drive a company vehicle to work sites, offices, and other required locationsMust be able to walk on uneven terrain and work in active construction environmentsWhy You’ll Love Working with UsAt Crescent Constructors, Inc., we invest in our people because they are the foundation of our success.
