Accounting Manager

The SR Manager/Manager of Accounting will be responsible for leading day to day accounting and finance functions. This position is responsible for a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger, month end close, financial planning & reporting, year-end audit preparation, compliance, working in conjunction with external audit firm and related activities, expense management and decision support.Responsibilities: · Responsible for all company financial matters. This includes maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.· Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting· Ensure that appropriate controls and procedures are in place for accurate and timely financial reporting.· Utilize existing accounting systems to automate processes and reporting where appropriate.· Interfacing with leadership to collect and explain financial data and financial implications of operating decisions· Oversee the preparation of detailed work-papers in connection with year-end income tax basis financial statements and tax returns.· Reconcile payroll and operating accounts.· Analyzing variances, trends and proactively communicating with external audit firm and corporate decision makers· Annual capital and operating budgeting; proactive planning with senior leadership· Planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions and allocating resources effectively· Serve as the company compliance officer as it relates to taxes, employment guidelines and laws· Gross to Net Calculations and AnalysisOur Ideal candidate:· Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounting requirements· Strong organization, coordination and planning, and problem-solving skills· Strong written and verbal communication skills· Proficiency with Excel and SAP· BS/BA Accounting· CPA A MUST· Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not mandatory· Capable of reviewing, editing as well as creating new processes and proceduresSkills and abilities:· Ability to drive change and optimization through system integrations and avoidance/ minimization of inefficiencies created through non-value-added task repetition· Ability to consistently meet deadlines· Strong ability to multi-task· Excellent communication skills written and verbal· High attention to detail and accuracy
