Unarmed Security Officer
An Unarmed Security Specialist is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by patrolling and monitoring premises, enforcing security policies, and responding to security incidents. You do not carry firearms but may use other non-lethal security equipment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional education or training)
State-issued security officer license (unarmed)
Previous security experience is often preferred but not always required
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to remain composed under pressure and make sound judgments
Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Attention to detail and observation skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
Security Patrol: Conduct routine patrols of the designated area to deter criminal activity and ensure safety
Access Control: Monitor and control access points, checking identification and ensuring only authorized individuals enter
Emergency Response: Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies, taking appropriate action to resolve the situation
Surveillance: Monitor surveillance cameras, alarms, and other security equipment
Report Writing: Document security incidents, accidents, and observations accurately and in a timely manner
Customer Service: Provide assistance and information to visitors and employees, answering questions and addressing concerns
Security Protocols: Enforce security protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
First Aid: Administer first aid and CPR if required and trained to do so
Collaboration: Work with other security personnel and emergency services as needed
Pay: $25/hr

License/Certification: Valid State Driver's License (REQUIRED), Unarmed Security License in OR or WA State (REQUIRED).
