Since 2001, we have built solutions across iOS, Android, web, IoT, automotive, financial, medical, and entertainment technologies for some of the world’s most innovative organizations.\nThis is not a “just follow the spec” position. We value engineers who can understand the “why” behind the work, communicate clearly, think through tradeoffs, and collaborate well with teammates, architects, security specialists, backend developers, QA, and client stakeholders. Development at OpenPath is a team sport, and strong technical work depends on strong communication, good judgment, and shared ownership.\nWe are looking for engineers who are comfortable with modern engineering tools — including AI — and use them with discipline, good judgment, and appropriate skepticism. We are interested in people who can move faster without becoming careless, who can experiment without chasing buzzwords, and who understand that tools are only useful when paired with sound engineering fundamentals.\nWhat You Will Do\nIn this role, you will help design, build, test, and support modern software applications across mobile, web, connected device, and enterprise environments. Depending on your background and project assignment, your work may include:\nBuilding native or cross-platform applications for phones, tablets, watches, TVs, voice interfaces, automotive systems, or connected devices.\nParticipating in requirements gathering, technical design, agile development, testing, documentation, and customer interaction.\nWorking with backend developers, systems architects, security specialists, and QA engineers to deliver software that is fast, secure, reliable, and production-ready.\nLearning new technologies, contributing fresh ideas, and helping the team improve how we build software.\nUsing modern development tools, automation, and AI-assisted workflows responsibly to improve quality, productivity, and technical understanding.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nStrong candidates usually bring a mix of technical skill, curiosity, humility, and practical problem-solving ability. We are especially interested in people who have:\nA solid understanding of software development principles, including object-oriented programming, design patterns, and maintainable code structure.\nExperience with one or more of the following: Kotlin, Swift, SwiftUI, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, React, React Native, C#, C++, or Python.\nFamiliarity with agile development, Git-based workflows, Jira or similar tools, CI/CD, and standard SDLC practices.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nThe ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.\nCuriosity beyond your immediate assignment — for example, interest in networking, security, hardware integration, IoT, AI, automation, system design, or user experience.\nA practical, skeptical, engineering-minded approach to new tools and technologies\nHelpful Experience\nDepending on the role and project, the following may be helpful:\nKotlin, Jetpack Compose, Swift, SwiftUI, React Native, Angular, or React.\nMobile architecture patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture.\nNetworking fundamentals, including the OSI model, Charles Proxy, or Wireshark.\nTechnical documentation, requirements writing, UML, or system design.\nFamiliarity with Apple Human Interface Guidelines, Google/Android design guidelines, or Material Design.\nInternship, hackathon, personal project, open-source, volunteer, or other experience that shows initiative beyond standard coursework.\nNew graduates and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate strong fundamentals, curiosity, communication skills, and a track record of learning beyond the classroom.\nWhat We Offer\nOpenPath offers a rare combination of meaningful engineering work and continuous growth.
