The PSR I draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The PSR I has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe and accurate manner. The PSR I will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.\nKey Responsibilities\nUnder the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.\nMaintain a safe and professional environment.\nPerforms with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.\nMaintains required records and documentation.\nDemonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees and the public in general.\nRequired Skills\nAbility to provide quality, error free work in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.\nExcellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric.\nFlexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.\nKeyboard/data entry experience a must.\nRequired Experience\nMinimum of 2 years experience REQUIRED.\nNice-to-Have Experience\nCustomer service in a retail or service environment preferred.\nEducation Requirements\nHigh school diploma or equivalent REQUIRED.\nMedical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.\nPhlebotomy certification preferred (Required in California, Nevada, and Washington).\nWork Environment / Physical Requirements\nOvertime expected.\nBenefits\nMedical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans\n401k Retirement Fund\nAbout the Client\nThis client is a leading provider of diagnostic laboratory and patient services in the healthcare industry, serving one in three adult Americans annually and supporting half of the physicians and hospitals across the United States, with laboratory operations extending internationally.
