ResponsibilitiesGood knowledge of building science & infrastructure related testing and consulting services. Collaborate with staff members on a variety of projects. Actively mentor junior staff and support overall development of the team.Coordinate and attend project meetings, providing solutions to technical and administrative issues as necessary.Interface with clients on a daily regular basis. Maintain and develop a client database.Good ability to manage project budgets. Prepare change orders, invoices, and assist with collection efforts. Proactively communicate with the project team about testing or budget concerns.Good ability to prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. Consult with your supervisor to help prioritize tasks as needed.Possesses strong technical writing skills with regard to basic conventions of spelling, grammar, and professional content/tone. Knows, understands, and uses standard industry terms and jargon. Effectively proofreads their own written work and performs "peer reviews" of colleagues' reports focusing on mechanical considerations (grammar, spelling, etc.).Prepare building science & infrastructure reports, perform analysis and provide recommendations for review by senior staff. Good ability to interpret test results, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions. Attend client meetings and or calls with your supervisor to present/discuss report findings and conclusions. Direct project set up and implementation with junior staff. Ensure that appropriately trained and experienced staff are assigned.Management of building science + infrastructure projects including the application of technical support and training of field staff. Responsible for several projects being performed simultaneously.Prepare proposals and change orders.Perform review of deliverables prepared by subordinate staff prior to submission for senior and principal review.Host or attend project discussions with clients, follow up on reports to determine if there are questions.May perform scheduling, training and supervision of subordinate staff members.Other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications8 years of experience in building science & infrastructure consulting or an equivalent combination of advanced education and experience (i.e. 4-year degree + 4 years' experience or Associate degree + 6 years' experience).Experience with non-destructive testing preferred.High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.Maintain certifications as necessary for the work performed. Professional certifications (such as NRCA/RCI, AWCI Certified EIFS Inspector) preferred.Additional training and/or certifications may be required as assigned by supervisor.If driving for, or on behalf of, any ECS subsidiary, a valid driver's license is required.Strong knowledge of building science & infrastructure principles and applications.Strong knowledge of building and materials codes and construction practices.Strong knowledge of structural, architectural, and building systems, design, and/or analysis.Excellent oral & written communication skills.Dependable, self-motivated, responsible and detail-oriented.Ability to work effectively in teams, with clients, peers and subordinates, as well as independently. Willing to take and follow detailed direction from superiors.Excellent interpersonal skills.Strong project management and consulting skills.Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds a number of times each day, stand for extended periods, walk on uneven ground through various terrains, and perform work at heights.Good ability to use sound judgment and critical thinking to analyze situations, solve problems, and make informed decisions.Good decision making and leadership skills.Strong ability to manage and develop new clients.Experience managing multiple projects with teams of field staff and/or other project managers.Why Join ECS?
