Description:Position SummaryWhile working as a Print Bindery Specialist, you will be tasked with finishing and fulfilling orders and performing tasks related to preparing customer orders for packaging.The person in this position will use bindery equipment to perform tasks such as cutting, folding, stitching, laminating, binding, stapling, coiling, perforating, hole punching, etc. Additionally, the person in this position assists with performing the operational functions of the department, meeting both quality and quantity requirements.Requirements:Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesFulfill Work Orders utilizing proper bindery equipment. Tasks could include drilling, stitching, shrink wrapping, stapling, taping, cutting, collating, inserting, gluing, and padding as neededSet up and operate bindery equipment including folder, cutter, coil inserter, hole puncher, booklet maker, and laminatorBind products using hand tools such as knives, crimpers, etc.Ensure the accuracy of work being performed by producing the highest quality product for the clientTroubleshoot jams or issues on bindery equipmentCommunicate with other departments when jobs are ready for bindingCommunicate the proper arrival times with the packaging & shipping departments to allow adequate time to be packaged and deliveredCoordinate with managers to meet deadlinesEnter information into the computer in order to keep track of jobs and assignmentsRegular, reliable, and punctual attendanceOther duties as assignedRequirementsEducation/ExperienceA High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required2+ years of print bindery experienceComputer SkillsPerforming this job successfully requires that an individual have a solid understanding of computers, data entry, internet searches, the Microsoft Office suite and email applications.Other QualificationsAbility to pass a background checkVision abilities required by this job include being able to see clearly at 20 inches or less, distinguish colors, and adjust focusMathematical abilities required by this job include reading a ruler, calculating simple costs, and other basic mathematical skillsJob CompetenciesStrong attention to detailGood with hand tools, detail workReliable, good team playerGood verbal and communication skillsWhy Work for Strategic Factory?Financial stability.
