This role is responsible for renewals, vendor marketing, plan analysis, compliance support, open enrollment, and ongoing client relationship management.The ideal candidate brings strong employee benefits brokerage experience, consultative client skills, and the ability to manage complex accounts in a fast‑paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary client contact and subject matter expert for employee benefits accountsManage day‑to‑day client service, escalations, and complex coverage or compliance inquiriesAnalyze client census and experience data for new and renewal businessConduct carrier marketing, obtain quotes, compare plan designs, and evaluate alternativesPresent recommendations to clients, including senior HR and leadership stakeholdersNegotiate premiums, plan terms, and commissions with carriers and vendors on behalf of clientsLead open enrollment planning and execution, including employee communicationsPrepare client presentations, proposals, and benefit summariesSupport Producers with sales activities and new business developmentMaintain accurate documentation in agency management systems and CRM toolsCore CompetenciesClient Service & ConsultingEmployee benefits strategy and advisory supportMedical, dental, vision, life, disability, and ancillary benefits knowledgeCarrier negotiation and vendor managementCompliance support related to state and federal regulationsLeadership & CollaborationPartner effectively with Producers, Client Executives, and service teamsMentor junior staff and support team workflowsManage multiple deadlines, priorities, and client deliverablesQualifications5+ years of experience in employee benefits account management with a brokerage, consulting firm, or health insurance carrierStrong understanding of benefits renewals, plan design, and carrier marketsExperience supporting mid‑market or large group employee benefits clients preferredProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPointAbility to thrive in a deadline‑driven, client‑facing environmentExcellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skillsLicenses & CertificationsActive California Life & Health Insurance License requiredProfessional designations such as CEBS, PHR, BGA, or CLU preferredCompensationThe national base salary range for this position is $100,000 – $125,000, exclusive of bonuses or benefits.
