Program & Portfolio Reporting Analyst (Analytics Consultant)Location: Charlotte, NC - CIC or BallantyneTerm: 6-month contract with potential extension or conversionAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly analytical and detail-driven Program & Portfolio Reporting Analyst to support enterprise-level transformation initiatives. This role builds and manages reporting frameworks, drives governance routines, and delivers executive-ready insights that enable strategic decision-making. You will collaborate across business, technology, and leadership teams to ensure transparency, alignment, and value realization across large, multi-workstream programs.ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Reporting & Analytics Develop and maintain scalable reporting frameworks that track milestones, risks, dependencies, financials, and overall delivery performance across complex portfolios.Build dashboards and data visualizations integrating operational KPIs, delivery metrics, and value-realization indicators.Translate complex program data into concise, actionable insights for senior and executive audiences.Ensure reporting accuracy, data integrity, and alignment with enterprise governance standards.Program Governance & Operating Model Support Support governance routines including steering committees, operating reviews, risk escalations, and dependency coordination.Maintain standardized reporting templates, portfolio taxonomies, and intake/prioritization artifacts.Promote adherence to lifecycle standards, change-management expectations, and enterprise delivery frameworks.Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management Partner with business sponsors, product owners, engineering leads, and analytics teams to gather inputs and validate data.Facilitate alignment across workstreams and ensure timely resolution of risks, blockers, and dependencies.Deliver clear, structured communication that informs decision-making for senior leaders and program executives.Risk, Issue, and Dependency Management Track portfolio-level risks and issues, ensuring proper categorization, mitigation planning, and remediation timelines.Identify and manage cross-initiative dependencies requiring escalation or leadership attention.Provide governance bodies with clear, data-driven risk and issue reporting.Value Realization & Strategic Insights Support evaluation of program value-including efficiency gains, cost reductions, capacity creation, and customer/employee experience improvements.Build projections, scenario analyses, and strategic recommendations that guide long-term planning.Contribute to enterprise-level reporting that connects delivery outcomes to transformation goals.Tools, Data, and Reporting Enablement Leverage enterprise analytics platforms to automate reporting and scale insights.Partner with technology teams to enhance data pipelines, telemetry, and portfolio analytics capabilities.Maintain metadata accuracy, portfolio lineage, and structured reporting standards.Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in program reporting, portfolio analytics, PMO reporting, business analysis, or similar roles.Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize insights from large datasets.Proficiency with reporting and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, enterprise reporting platforms).Experience supporting large, multi-team or enterprise-level programs.Exceptional communication skills with ability to simplify complex information for executive audiences.Desired Qualifications Experience in digital, operational, AI-enabled, or automation-focused transformation environments.Familiarity with enterprise governance structures, PMO methodologies, and portfolio management frameworks.Background in analytics, process engineering, or continuous improvement.Experience influencing senior leaders and contributing to prioritization and strategic planning.Ability to develop scalable reporting frameworks that support enterprise transparency and decision-making.
