For more information about American Home Shield and Frontdoor, please visit frontdoorhome.com .\nResponsibilities\nSummary :The Cloud & Platform Engineer L4is responsible for building and operating secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure, with a strong focus on infrastructure as code, automation, and cloud governance. This role plays a key part in establishing consistent, standardized cloud environments across a multi-account AWS landscape while ensuring systems are designed for reliability and recoverability.\nThis position partners closely with Engineering, Security, GRC, and Platform teams to strengthen cloud foundations, improve automation, and support resiliency initiatives across the organization.\nResponsibilities\nBuild and help scale foundational cloud capabilities across a multi-account AWS environment (e.g., Control Tower, account standardization, governance)\nDesign, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (primarily Terraform) to ensure consistency and repeatability\nImplement and manage IAM policies, ensuring least-privilege access and alignment with security and compliance standards\nDevelop and maintain automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and operational workflows\nSupport multi-region resiliency efforts, including high availability, failover design, and system reliability improvements\nDesign and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions aligned to RPO/RTO objectives\nExecute disaster recovery processes, including system restoration, validation, and testing\nTroubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive remediation efforts\nCollaborate cross-functionally to improve cloud governance, automation, and operational efficiency\nMaintain observability through monitoring, alerting, and logging tools\nProvide light support for legacy systems and tools (approximately 10–20% of the role)\nQualifications\nRequired Skills\nStrong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, networking, storage)\nProven experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform required)\nExperience working in multi-account AWS environments and governance frameworks (e.g., Control Tower)\nStrong understanding of IAM, cloud security principles, and compliance best practices\nExperience designing and supporting backup and disaster recovery strategies (RPO/RTO alignment)\nSolid Linux administration experience (troubleshooting, performance tuning, system lifecycle)\nExperience with scripting (Python, Bash, or similar)\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing)\nFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices\nExperience supporting and troubleshooting production environments\nPreferred Skills\nAWS certifications\nExperience with Ansible or Ansible Tower\nExposure to backup and security tools (e.g., Rubrik, Orca, Veeam)\nExperience with multi-region architecture and resiliency design\nBackground in SRE, DevOps, or software engineering with infrastructure focus\nExperience with monitoring and observability tools\nMinimum Qualifications\n5+ years of Linux/system administration or infrastructure experience\n3–5 years of hands-on cloud experience (AWS preferred)\nExperience with infrastructure automation and scripting\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience\nOther/State Specific\nThis role pays between $124,000/Yr to $150,000/Yr, and your actual base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, responsibilities, experience, and location.\nAt Frontdoor certain roles are eligible for additional rewards and incentives.
