This opportunity is either hybrid or remote. The Cloud Engineer must have considerable experience in providing highly specialized applications and operational analysis, supporting network and computing infrastructure and has knowledge in networking technologies. In this role you will provide data engineering expertise and experience in cloud-based solutions to our team as we develop a custom solution for our clients. You will help with the business development activities and will be responsible for describing data engineering solutions in our proposals.\nWhat you will do:\nThis role will be responsible for designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure, to include virtual machines, databases, backups, and security infrastructure\nThey will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, optimize performance, and implement scalable data infrastructure\nYou will be responsible for providing data integration and analysis services working across several technologies and other disciplines including data modeling and data science, working with data lake-based solutions\nAble to lead an architecture or client call with other engineers explaining the architecture and development approach\nProvide data engineering support by mapping data, including Electronic Health Record data, between source systems and target data models\nLend your expertise to aligned efforts including the creation of a new comprehensive healthcare data model, cloud migration, and implementation of a data lake\nRequired Skills:\n5+ years of recent professional experience in database architecture, database engineering, data analysis, data mining, and/or data science\nBachelors Degree in a field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Database Engineering, or Management Information Systems\nExperience provisioning, using, and optimizing Microsoft Azure and Cloud\nExperience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions or automation of deployments\nExperience in data migration to include data mapping and data profiling\nExperience with ETL and ETL pipelines\nAbility to communicate concisely and persuasively with software engineers and clients\nAbility to work with the federal government and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance\nPreferred Skills:\nExperience provisioning, using, and optimizing Microsoft Azure and Cloud\nExperience working for the Department of Veterans Affairs\nExperience integrating data between systems using Azure Data Factory\nExperience with Azure Synapse and Fabric\nExperience large-scale data analysis systems, such as Databricks, Hadoop, Pig, Scala, Spark or MPP databases\nExperience working with Apache Parquet and/or Delta Lake formatted data\nExperience supporting MLOps pipelines\nExperience with CI/CD\nCommunication is the key to success at Amida.
