Our services include construction management, fabrication, erection, mechanical installation, and plant maintenance for heavy industrial, commercial, and roadway projects, as well as a full spectrum of golf course construction and management services.\n\nPosition Overview\nLexicon is seeking experienced trades professionals to join our apprenticeship training program as full-time instructors. These roles are vital to developing the next generation of skilled workers in the Structural Ironworker, Welding and Millwright trades.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead instructional sessions.\n\nDeliver a mix of hands‑on, classroom, and virtual training.\n\nFollow established curriculum and standards for workforce development.\n\nTeach foundational trade skills, safety practices, and career readiness.\n\nFoster a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.\n\nCollaborate on curriculum development and training management.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent.\n\nExperience in construction industry.\n\nMinimum of four years of full-time experience in trade instructing (Millwright, Weld, Ironworker).\n\nAbility to clearly explain technical concepts and procedures to learners of varying skill levels.\n\nStrong understanding of safety protocols and ability to model safe practices consistently.\n\nAbility to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and foster inclusive learning.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nCertifications in OSHA 10 or 30 certification.\n\nRelevant trade certifications (e.g., NCCER, AWS) are a plus.\n\nPrior teaching, mentoring, or training experience in a formal or informal setting.\n\nBi‑lingual in English and Spanish.\n\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to work in a high pressure working environment. Some weekend work and overnight travel is required. Must be able to tolerate temperature fluctuations, a loud and dusty work environment, and be around high voltage electromagnetic fields. Must be ethical, energetic, and have a passion for training and development.
