4H Youth Program Coordinator

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.SummaryUnder general supervision, the 4-H/Youth Program Coordinator will provide leadership in planning, assisting, implementing, and reporting on the accomplishments and results of County 4-H and other educational youth programs. Working with Extension Agents, volunteers, and youth, this employee is required to have strong written and oral communication skills, as well as organizational and computer skills. The coordinator must exercise initiative and independent judgment, be responsible, professional, and dependable.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilitiesDevelops 4-H program plans with supervising agents for recruitment, training of volunteers, and planning major 4-H events.Participates in developing multi-county programs for youth, training, and volunteers.Manages and maintains all reports and 4-H program plan efforts through the TAMED.Participates in regular office conferences with Extension staff.Attends periodic evening meetings, some weekend work, and out-of-county meetings & contests.Recruits' leaders through personal visits and organized groups.Provides volunteer leaders with literature, materials, and instructions to help them carry out responsibilities.Supervises club leaders and coordinates major events to impact various audiences through the 4-H programs.Works with supervising agents to provide leadership to the 4-H Youth County Council program and the 4-H Adult Booster club organization.Assists in establishing new 4-H clubs, supporting and maintaining existing clubs, and assists leaders and volunteers with program responsibilities.Coordinates participation in District and State 4-H events and activities.Plans and implements educational workshops for youth and volunteers related to 4-H educational programs/opportunities.Research and gain knowledge of 4-H Youth Development programming and other youth programming.Assists in the marketing, promotion, and evaluation of 4-H Youth development programs.Maintains and updates social media venues.Coordinates fundraisers.Regular attendance required.Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor.Education and/or ExperienceEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school graduate or GED equivalent.Bachelor's degree preferred.Valid Texas Driver's License.Other Qualifications, Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsOther Qualifications, Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsNone
