If you enjoy hands‑on work, thrive in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, and take pride in accuracy and organization, we encourage you to apply.\n\nPosition Summary\nThe Control Panel Labeling Technician is responsible for producing, engraving, and organizing labels and nameplates used in control panel assemblies. This role ensures all labeling components meet design specifications, quality standards, and production timelines while maintaining proper inventory levels.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nPrint all terminal tags from wiring schematics\n\nEngrave inside/outside tags according to schematics\n\nEnsure all tags and plates meet quality standards\n\nMaintain appropriate inventory levels of plastic, marker cards and printer labels\n\nChange traveler status in i-Prep once tags are complete\n\nPeriodic cleaning of equipment to maintain reliability of all labeling tools\n\nCut, strip and label wire lengths using the Komax machine\n\nSupport production schedules by completing assigned tasks efficiently and on time\n\nQualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)\n\n1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, engraving, labeling, or a related field (preferred)\n\nMust be able to read and interpret electrical wiring schematics\n\nExperience with CorelDRAW graphics design software or similar product\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality\n\nEffective organizational and time management skills\n\nAbility to manage multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment\n\nComputer proficiency (ERP systems experience a plus)\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nPhysical Requirements\nThis is an active position that requires:\n\nStanding and walking throughout the day\n\nFrequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling\n\nLifting up to 50 pounds regularly\n\nWhy Join Cates Control Systems?\nFounded over 40 years ago, Cates Control Systems is a leading systems integrator delivering innovative automation solutions to manufacturers across North America and beyond.
