SQF).\nLeads and directs the work of other employees.\nHave some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance, or disciplinary actions.\nContinuously improving manufacturing processes in terms of quality and performance measurements and identifying and eliminating bottleneck areas.\nSeek to ensure reliability of plant and equipment operation while optimizing maintenance and operation costs and satisfying all safety, environmental etc. regulations in the process.\nIdentify and solve safety concerns encountered during design and study of manufacturing processes\nDevise hands on improvement processes to reduce scrap and defects while improving throughput and document SOPs and the implementation of Best Practices into the facility. Assist in coordinating the installation of new equipment to maximize production efficiency and maintainability.\nWork with production to make modifications to equipment and work areas for maximum efficiency of operation.\nMaintain a knowledge base in the capacity of existing utilities and the current level of utilization.\nStay abreast of the latest safety, environmental and other regulations which affect the facility to ensure compliance.\nSupport the Maintenance Manager in overseeing the maintenance of the equipment and the facility to ensure the company receives maximum utilization of its assets.\nImplement and ensure compliance with the systems designed by the manager, focusing on execution and direct oversight.\nAssist in keeping written documentation of environmental compliance current.\nPeriodically prepare reports to satisfy environmental and safety regulations and ensure a safe and professional work environment.\nReviews, evaluates, counsels, disciplines and discharges employees as necessary to ensure department meets or exceeds productivity requirements.\nEvaluates and recommends improvements to product manufacturability.\nEnsure compliance to all OHSA and environmental regulatory and corporate standards. Investigate and identify root causes of any non-compliance.\nAccountable for a safe working environment through the development of strategies focused on accident reduction as well as energy and waste minimization.\nOversee effective deployment of human resources throughout the plant and ensure the correct administration of the collective Bargaining Agreement (if applicable).\n\nRequirements \nEducation and Experience:\n\nMinimum of high school diploma or equivalent required. Undergraduate degree in a related field preferred.\n5-7 years relevant work experience in a manufacturing facility\n\nRequired Skills:\n\nProficient in Excel, Word, SAP and Power Point.\nProven Leadership experience in a Production environment.\nStrong team player who can work across multiple functions.\nAbility to analyze and solve problems, results oriented.\nAble to work under deadline pressures.\nOrganized and detail oriented, adaptable to change.\n\nCompetencies:\n\nLeadership - Foster a culture of empowerment by building relationships based on trust, lead courageously on a day-to-day basis, and inspire growth with a clear and ambitious vision that guides the collective effort toward success.\nQuality: Understanding of quality standards and requirements for manufactured products, implementation of quality control measures to ensure product consistency and reliability, collaboration with quality team to address related issues.\nContinuous Improvement – Lead department process improvement through lean principles, team feedback, and CI events (Kaizen).\nTroubleshooting – Skilled in resolving process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and waste.\nDocumentation Skills – Accurately record production data and maintain organized records.\nSafety and Compliance – Ensure OSHA, environmental, and corporate compliance. Timely and accurate completion of monthly Alchemy training.\nCommunication Skills – Communicate effectively with direct reports and all levels of the organization.
