{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"91e4d1e6a7c1b8adfc577f04","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/91e4d1e6a7c1b8adfc577f04","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/91e4d1e6a7c1b8adfc577f04","title":"Principal DevSecOps Engineer – AI Infrastructure","description":"Principal DevSecOps Engineer – AI InfrastructureJob Type: Full-TimeWork Arrangement: Denver, CO, RemoteAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Principal DevSecOps Engineer – AI Infrastructure to serve as a founding infrastructure leader and build the secure, scalable platform powering next-generation AI/ML workloads.You will work closely with ML, backend, data, and security teams to establish production-grade infrastructure, automation, observability, reliability, and security practices from the ground up.What You’ll DoBuild and scale the company's core infrastructure platform.Establish secure, repeatable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices using Terraform/CloudFormation, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD.Partner with engineering teams on architecture reviews, capacity planning, and production readiness.Define and drive SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and error-budget practices.Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, testing, deployment, and operations.Co-design infrastructure platforms with ML, backend, data, and security teams to support AI/ML workloads.Architect multi-region resilience, disaster recovery, backup, and failover strategies.Improve observability, monitoring, incident response, and root-cause analysis.Establish production engineering standards and mentor engineering teams on operational excellence.Evaluate and introduce emerging infrastructure and DevSecOps technologies where they provide meaningful value.Required Qualifications8+ years of experience operating highly available, fault-tolerant distributed systems.Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code and GitOps.Deep expertise with Kubernetes and AWS EKS.Strong containerization and service networking knowledge.Hands-on experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, and RDS.Experience designing multi-region AWS infrastructure, disaster recovery, and failover.Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Rust, along with solid shell scripting.Experience extending Kubernetes using CRDs/operators.Strong observability experience with technologies such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Fluentd, and Jaeger.Strong understanding of IAM, secrets management, and security/compliance controls.Experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR.Experience building secure, self-service developer platforms using APIs, SDKs, portals, or technologies such as Backstage/TypeScript.Strong understanding of SRE principles, SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, CI/CD, testing, and incident management.Excellent communication, architecture, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting AI/ML infrastructure or production ML workloads.Experience building internal developer platforms or platform engineering capabilities.Experience with Kubernetes operators, service meshes, or advanced cloud-native networking.Experience working in high-growth or early-stage technology environments.Experience optimizing infrastructure for reliability, scalability, and cost.What We OfferHigh Impact: Ship meaningful features in weeks, not quarters.Cutting-Edge Technology: Solve challenging infrastructure and AI problems.Remote & Flexible: Work from anywhere with a culture built on trust and autonomy.Growth & Ownership: Own projects end-to-end and grow with the company.Competitive Compensation: $180K–$200K base plus $50K–$60K variable compensation.Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance.401(k) with Employer Contributions.Paid Time Off & Birthday Leave.HSA Contributions with a High-Deductible Health Plan.Short-Term & Long-Term Disability Insurance.Additional benefits and perks.Compensation Disclaimer: Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, professional experience, education, qualifications, and skill level.
