The ideal candidate will work from released work instructions to support assembly, testing, and launch operations of space vehicles.\nWork from preliminary design drawings, sketches, blueprints, schematics, and both verbal and written instructions to determine the most appropriate methods for integrating designs and meeting production and laboratory requirements.\nPerform assembly and integration tasks to precise tolerances, using expertise to select the most effective methods for meeting engineering specifications.\nOperate specialized equipment during spacecraft assembly, such as hydraulic test consoles, cooling system test consoles, alignment fixtures, and installation fixtures.\nDetermine the sequence of operations and install components in space vehicles before testing, including performing complete system leak and pressure checks, as well as alignment checks of control surfaces.\nHandle fragile multi-layer insulation (MLI) films and materials with care during installation onto test and flight articles.\nSupport the installation of MLI and SLI (Solid-Layer Insulation) on spacecraft, ensuring all procedures meet required specifications.\nAssist engineers and research staff in identifying improved procedures and perform assigned duties at specific test stations.
